Most people who need EEK have never needed EEK before. They are not going to have installed an app in advance. That is why EEK was built as a Progressive Web App — a website that behaves like a native app, installable directly from the browser without visiting an App Store.
When a customer opens eek.nz on their phone, they can add it to their home screen in two taps. From that point, it opens in full-screen mode, loads instantly from cache even on a weak signal, and can receive push notifications about their job status. The experience is indistinguishable from a native app.
For Suppliers on the Job
Suppliers managing their portal from a phone get the same benefit. The supplier portal is fully functional on mobile, installable as a home screen app, and designed for use in a workshop or from a vehicle.
